Newly renamed Kasa. Food is really good, but the music was terrible! Black Sabbath and Led Zepplin.... not exactly the type of music one wants to listen to while dining. I didn't realize this was a dive bar. Won't be back until they fire the manager who allowed this to happen. UPDATE: Returned last evening, they must have fired the manager because the music was 1000% better. Upgrading fm 1 star to 4. Will go back again

Very nice, chic Japanese restaurant with teppanyaki. Mushroom soup, house salad, veggie fried rice, two shrimp appetizers, a medley of vegetables, and sorbet come with teppanyaki meals. I highly recommend the sea bass, so yummy! The sour blueberry cooler is also a great non-alcoholic refreshment. Good service.

Went here the other day for happy hour with a few of my gal pals to celebrate a birthday. I had been here a number of times prior; had not been particularly enamored with their food (plus thought it was over-priced), but this time we all agreed it was quite good. Alexa was our server. Of course, we had to joke with her about her name. I'm SURE she probably hears that a lot!! Quite friendly, professional, and competent. I mean, putting up with five women out having a good time, well, poor thing! First things first -- we had to determine what we were going to drink. Three of us decided on the happy hour martini which tasted like a slushy with kick. Yummm! Sorry I don't remember the name, but the photo is included. Then we saw people next to us having a drink that looked good with its frozen ball of ice. Of course, we had to ask. He was having an old fashion. I decided to try the manhattan and birthday girl tried the old fashion. I must admit, I liked her drink more than mine. Probably cause it was a bit sweeter. And the ice ball is cute. Ya' know how important presentation is! The next important thing was to order food. We decided on lobster potstickers, hoisin bbq ribs, ahi poke tacos, fried calamari, crispy chicken spring roll, coconut skewers. We agreed we liked the potstickers, the ribs, the spring roll and the skewers the best. Great flavoring with it all. I didn't try the tacos. Of course, with us celebrating a birthday, we had to have dessert. The only thing the restaurant offers gratis for a bash is vanilla ice cream. We figured, with five of us, a scoop of ice cream wouldn't go far. Therefore, we ordered the butterscotch bread pudding and the chocolate mousse cake. All of it came with vanilla ice cream plus the gratis ice cream was three scoops -- count them -- three scoops. We agreed we liked the butterscotch bread pudding the best. the chocolate mousse case was good as well, but the bread pudding was better. Of course, I will return. In fact, I had been there a week or so prior for a group event. We were on the patio, and the ambiance was great.

Came here for the 1st time on my birthday. It was amazing! The food was delicious and the chef was entertaining! So I reserved my table for the teppanyaki one online which was pretty easy. I choose the teppanyaki table because I wanted to experience the chef cook right in front of me. And it was awesome! When we got there the restaurant looked beautiful. So elegant! We were seated with other guests as well. The menu was big and had many choices. They have happy hour as well. Check in on yelp and you get a free appetizer (Edamame). You can choice from the teppanyaki menu just your protein or combination of protein that you will like and it will include soup, salad, rice, veggies, shrimp, meat(your choice of protein), & for dessert sorbet. Basically a 3 course meal. If your not interested in that you can choose anything else but they will cook that in the back and they will bring it to you. The soup was delicious. It is a mushroom soup but the broth is good. The salad was good too, it comes with a ginger dressing. I got the combination with filet mignon & chicken. Omg it was so delicious! So flavorful! After the chef was done cleaning our station that's when we ate, after a couple of minutes another waiter comes and they say if we need boxes and we were like not yet, we barely even started eating. But they do serve the food quickly. I guess to make room for other guests too. So you don't have time to chitchat after that much. They do have regular dining tables and a bar as well & they have some seats outside to sit at. The chef was amazing! He did cool tricks with the food & scared us and made us laugh. Overall a great and memorable experience. Also for your birthday they bring you ice cream with a candle on it.

Had a fantastic time with my team from work at Sapporo - we had a teppanyaki table and it was very entertaining. The food was delicious, we had sushi and I had the steak and scallops. I live on the west side and the closest thing we have is Ah-So - this place blows Ah-So and Benihana's out of the water. I had the fish and scallops and the fish was amazing it melted in in my mouth. I will definitely be going back here! Plus it's always a bonus when they have great customer service, the restaurant is clean and has very inviting decor. Tip: if it's a Friday or Saturday night I definitely recommend a reservation if you're looking for the teppanyaki tables.

I didn't know what to expect of this place but I was actually impressed. We were a table of 9 and had the teppanyaki. The cook was entertaining and the food was good. Typical teppanyaki fare. What i loved was the $3 sake. Order two at a time. It'll cut down on The turn around time to fill it up :) Was very impressed with the buttermilk sirloin. I expected it to be very tough and given the price, I didn't expect much. My daughter ordered it and everyone at the table sampled a piece and unanimously agreed it was wonderful and was the best piece of meat for the price. Better than the filet even!

Excellent Food, Atmosphere, & Service! The open air bar and patio were buzzing at 9 p.m. on a Wednesday night, as the bartenders mixed their shakers to the upbeat music. The Avocado Roll was fantastic with big chunks of avocado and tender rice. The ginger was so fresh and sweet that it tasted like candy. I had ordered the White Tuna Sashimi, and they were all out of it, so the chef, himself, came out to apologize, as did Rachel, who was an exceptional server! I had the Yellow Tail Sashimi instead, and it was spectacular and so fresh, it was like butter. The Teriyaki Salmon was cooked perfectly (moist and flaky) and was served with incredible coconut rice & grilled asparagus. I didn't have room for dessert, but Rachel highly recommends the Bananas Foster Spring Roll. It was a wonderful overall experience.
